Contest is Friday from 7 9pm
Peoples Choice Chili is judged only by people. There are no other judges only the tasting public choosing the winner of the PCC Award. The Chili with the most votes becomes the winner. If you have the most chili and friends at the cook-off, you might get the most votes!
The chili must be ready to serve at 7:00pm pm and the winner will be announced during awards ceremony on Saturday so be sure to have enough chili to serve to voters.
How much chili?
We recommend 5 gallons of chili be available for tasting. Attendees will cast their votes for
the Peoples Choice by depositing tickets in to voting containers that the we will supply, and that you will have at your booth. ONLY serve chili to people who have tickets, this is to your advantage because if you serve your chili to people without tickets you wont get the votes to win!
People Choice Trophy will be awarded
CHILI COOK-OFF RULES
1. A minimum of 5 gal of chili is recommended.
2. Chili must be cooked on site the day of the cook off.
3. Only edible ingredients may be used.
4. Be prepared in a sanitary manner.
(Health Dept. will be on site)
5. You must be willing to taste your own chili.
6. Chili must be kept at 140 degrees at all times.
NO CROCK POTS ALLOWED (Health Dept Rule)
7. Cooking conditions are subject to inspection.
8. You may prepare (chop measure, etc) your
ingredients at home but NOTHING may be
pre-cooked. (Health Dept Rule)
9. You may not INADVERTENTLY acquire your
neighbors supplies.
10. Each contestant will be responsible for furnishing
their own cooking source. No open fires allowed!
11. We will furnish , spoons and cups to be used for
public judging.
12. Electricity must be ordered at time of application.
13. Only serve chili to people with tickets.
14. The Chili Cook-off is non sanctioned.
